<Teaching about the Future> is a book about the teaching methods for professors of futures studies.
This book is divided into three parts.
Part 1 presents the basic concepts and contains chapters about change models, systemic thinking, perspectives regarding the future, and social changes.
Part 2 deals with future predictions and introduces methodologies regarding research, scanning, and prediction.
Part 3 explains how to shape the future, focusing on leadership, vision, planning, and change management.
Each chapter consists of the following sections: Introduction, Background, Conceptual Framework, Conclusions, and References.
Part 1 alone will be good enough for the general public interested in the future, and I recommend going further to read Part 2 to would-be researchers in futures studies. Part 3 presents discussions quite similar to the general theories of business administration regarding change management.
